In 2014, I had a vision: start an herb farm to provide healing plants to my local community. I had passion, farming skills, and burgeoning herbal knowledge. I did not have land, money (beyond my meager monthly income) or local connections. So how did Locust Light come to be? Let me tell you. I’ve been working with plants for years, first as a veggie farmer, then as an herb farmer and medicine-maker, until I switched to teaching full-time in 2017.
