🌏 💵 A paltry 0.2% of global aid spending targets gender-based violence (#GBV). And only 5% of total overseas development assistance dedicated to addressing GBV reached civil society organisations in developing countries. This highlights the urgent need for increased long-term, sustainable investments in grass-roots, locally-led women’s rights organisations. To learn more, check out the “What Counts? Stop the massacre in Gaza now! We are echoing the voices of Palestinian, feminist, and human rights activists who have called for an end to the devastating harm inflicted on Gaza and its people. We urgently need a ceasefire and a broader movement for justice, liberation, and decolonization. All civilian deaths are intolerable, and the targeting of civilians constitutes a war crime in international law. The double standards and blatant racism that are glaringly obvious today follow years of impunity by Israel and continued dehumanization of Palestinians. It's time for international law and human rights to protect, not fail the Palestinian people. Let's stand strong with the Palestinian people!
