Set and Edit Away Message on LinkedIn

You can set an Away message on LinkedIn, informing other members, to expect a delayed response to their messages.
Note: Setting up an Away message is currently a Premium feature.

To set up an Away message:
  1. Click the More icon at the top of your messaging inbox.
  2. Select Set away message.
  3. Switch the toggle to the right to turn On Away message.
    • Switch the toggle to the left to turn Off Away message.
  4. Enter the Start and End date
  5. You can customize your message (optional).
  6. Click Save.
To edit an Away message:
  1. Click the More icon at the top of your messaging inbox.
  2. Select Edit away message.
  3. Edit your message and click Save.
Notes:
  • When you set an Away message, the messages are sent till the end of that day.
  • Away messages can be set for a maximum of three months.
  • Your Away message will only be visible to your connections on direct messages and not on group chats.
