Club Thrive in Joy gives high school students the opportunity to discover their character strengths and create Entrepreneurial Social Impact Projects.

C11 Strength of Character Program

C11 inspires character and service in young people through Nick’s story and is framed in Nick’s 11 character strengths (click to see all):

Our student-led C11 Strength of Character program empowers high school students through leadership development, character strength awareness, and entrepreneurial service engagement. In partnership with schools serving under-resourced communities, C11 allows students to gain confidence, embrace mental well-being, and prepare for college and beyond.

The C11 curriculum provides the foundation for Club Thrive in Joy’s after-school program, through which students participate in community service projects and self-discovery activities inspiring purpose and leadership. Since launching in 2015, C11 has engaged over 5,200 students, educators, and community members across Los Angeles. The C11 program has also been implemented internationally in the Dominican Republic, South Africa, and India.
