First Dollar is building the “Stripe for Healthcare” – a modern platform for consumer directed benefits that enables health plans, TPAs & benefits administrators to deliver market leading benefits for their individual and employer customers. Founded by a repeat founding team with prior exits to athenahealth & Expedia, First Dollar has ambitious plans to make healthcare work as it should by improving how people pay for it.
First Dollar is seeking a Full Stack Engineers to join our team. Our platform powers First Dollar's core business, enabling our members access to their healthcare savings when they need it most. As an early engineering hire, you’ll have a significant opportunity to shape both our technical strategy and engineering culture.
You will:
- Work closely with design and product to ship delightful, engaging products using React, Node, TypeScript, and GraphQL. We use Postgres for our database and host our apps on Google Cloud Platform
- Move across both backend and frontend tech stacks. Our ideal candidate enjoys the breadth and learning opportunities this provides
- Contribute significantly to architecture decisions for both our frontend and backend tech stacks
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

- Be exposed to several facets of building a business outside of just your role as a software engineer
