Happy New Year Fam! Let's make it a transformative one together.
Consider this: As Black people, we put billions into our churches, mosques, synagogues and other temples every year. Many of us donate to charities too. But what if we were just as committed day-to-day to ensuring that our money is circulated across the global Black Family, and that our resources STAY in our communities long enough to make an impact before they travel to Asian, White or Jewish communities?
As passionate as many of us are about "buying Black", most of us have no idea what percentage of our expenditures benefit Black business owners because we don't track our Black-on-Black spending. Hence the BLACK TITHE.

Wouldn't you love to know that one of your biggest expenses is funding the (r)evolution? There is an entire Black farmer movement that is revolutionizing our access to premium nourishment and land sovereignty.

If you'd like to see our collective Liberation for real, commit to spending at least 10% of your income weekly with Black-owned businesses. If you rent from a Black person or pay mortgage to a Black bank, you might be covered there. If so, you can likely do more ;)
Spend some time each week reviewing your expenses to see how much of your circulated currency served Black-owned businesses. By ensuring you stay at 10% or more, you will be making a major and measurable contribution to the Buy Black movement. When enough of us do this–with the intention to increase our "tithe" amount regularly–we'll truly be creating our economic sovereignty, the ultimate requirement for our political sovereignty and self-determination.
