    Questions

    1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: Hello! Confused by yardage needed. Ravelry post says 1062 yards. But pattern calls for 6 skeins if using Red Heart Soft yarn. Six skeins x 256 yds is over 1500 yards. Excited to start but need yardage confirmed. Thanks!

    1 Answer

A: It’s still a good idea to follow the pattern's recommended yardage of 1,536 yards (6 skeins of 256 yards each) to be safe. The 1,062 yards mentioned on Ravelry could be an estimate for a different yarn or stitch pattern, so sticking with what the pattern suggests will help ensure you have enough yarn to finish your crochet project without running out. Enjoy your crochet adventure!

A: We’re excited to hear that you enjoyed working on our Red Heart Crochet Sidewalk Shawl pattern! You can definitely use two colors to create a fun and vibrant look. Remember, you are the designer of your project, so feel free to modify the colors to suit your style. You could try alternating rows with different colors, or consider creating stripes or a gradient effect. Experiment with various color combinations to discover your favorites!
