5 productive habits I’ve cultivated over the years that have really worked for me (after a whole lot of trial and error!) – 1)the 80/20 rule has been the MOST effective for me– identifying 20% of the most important tasks ahead of me in the week, allows me to expend the MOST amount of energy towards this 20%! This has transformed the way I schedule my meetings and allocate my resources in the week. 2)Which brings me to point number 2– know when to say NO. When we’re on autopilot and running through To–Do lists mechanically, saying ‘no’ is one of the hardest things to master. But it’s a game-changer!   3)Being aware that there are a finite number of (good) decisions you can make in a day is key. Go back and reassess how many decisions are you making everyday that are inconsequential to overall productivity? (fun fact: there’s a reason why from Steve Jobs to Mark Zuckerberg, successful founders limit decisions like what clothes to wear– that’s why they sport the black t-shirt, jeans sneaker look on auto pilot!) 4)Have a small note pad/note on your phone dedicated to mistakes– the only upside to making mistakes is that you learn from them and don’t repeat them (rather make new mistakes!) Having this dedicated space allows you to jot down an error, what you learn and reflect upon it so that you don’t waste time and energy making it again! 5)The most important one according to me– the ONLY way to be productive at work is if you’ve fuelled yourself by working on your personal development. Aligning, meditating, eating right, working out, indulging in a hobby are all key to giving your best! (That’s why I wake up at 6am and before 10, I’ve fuelled myself up to the point where I’m just ready to go!) Please tell me what are some of the productivity hacks you use– the more the merrier for everyone! ⚡️🕺🏻🙌🏼 #womeninbusiness #jobs #energy #personaldevelopment #work #productivity #founders #india #growth

This is a great

Over and above what you have articulated Karishma Mehta, I think practicing some Daily Affirmations (especially when in self-doubt or when the chips are down), working with your headsets on (which cuts out all the unwanted noise), using the Focus settings (at least on iPhones) and practicing Digital Detoxification (around late evenings) do produce a lot of positive effects when it comes to boosting productivity since Mental Health has gained a lot of importance (in the last 2-3 years) for reasons obvious.

1). Listening to others Is a virtue I believe, it’s a very powerful but silent weapon at workplace… we can learn and others feel important when you say I hear you. You get to know things & stories where you cannot reach.. it works when you have big team under you. 2.) To have empathy for people who deserve, once my HR personnel warned me saying “you shouldn’t be taken for granted, check who really need help and doesn’t take advantage of you” 3.) To be vigilant at work place. While you do yours keep your eyes and ears open , smell and feel around.. Smoking ( injurious to health) areas in my earlier office was a great place for off record discussions. 3. Don’t be a silo … need help shout or call out.

Beautifully put, thank you for sharing Karishma Mehta. Few things i am trying to learn, don't keep beating yourself about past failures, ok to feel sad, learn from them, but you should quickly bounce back and start planning so you don't lose too much time. Keep a list of your achievements and every time you feel low and depressed, read your achievements loud and give a pat on your back and get back to work. You have done it and you will do it. Don't keep avoiding your fear, face them, learn from the experience. The more time you take to confront your fear, more time you lose. Thank you again for sharing

I specially agree with the 5th point: working on personal growth especially when one's an entrepreneur. 😊 It's easy for an entrepreneur to think that they can figure it all out by themselves and they don't need to work on ourselves. But working on myself through meditation, hiring a Life Coach to point out my blind spots and challenge my beliefs, and constantly learning through books and courses have helped me level up not just how I work but also helped my business grow. In short, huge benefits! 🙌

Delegate & empower more, Karishma. That’s another one that works wonders for productivity. I’ve found this helps me not only get more done, but also creates a solid ecosystem of people who can be great sounding boards - plus a great team that trusts each other and can cover for you when life throws a curve ball. The eventual goal is to make myself redundant - which in turn will help free up time to come up with ideas, etc to take the team/ org, etc to the next level. The other benefit of this is a diversity of view points and often that results in better/ faster and simpler ways of getting things done.

Wonderful productivity hacks! I'd like to add two points here... 1) Parkinson's law for time management, it's great hack for the productivity. 2) Before going to bed I used to write down my to do list of next day ( priority wise ) so when I'll wake up, I'll not blank that where and how to kick start my day. Once I'll be completed my tasks will give myself a treat. Thank you for sharing!
