About the Centre for Public Impact

At the Centre for Public Impact (CPI), we believe in the potential of governments to bring about better outcomes for people. We are a global not-for-profit organisation, founded by the Boston Consulting Group, who serve as a learning partner for governments, public sector leaders, and the diverse network of changemakers who are leading the charge to reimagine government so that it works for everyone.

We are a small organisation, and just over six years old, but already our global footprint is expansive and we partner with some of the biggest names in government, academia and public sector innovation in the world. Other than our team in India, we have teams in Australia/ New Zealand,  North America and Europe. We are all supported by the Global Hub team who provide people & culture, operational and communication support across the regions.

Our Values:

  • courageous - we have the courage to speak the truth, to challenge without fear and tackle difficult questions

  • respectful - we respect differences, we seek to understand them and we look out for one another

  • optimistic - we are positive about what we and governments can do for our societies

  • inclusive - we are nonpartisan, and we work together and seek ideas and solutions across the divides

To advance our purpose of reimagining government so that it works for everyone, CPI seeks to attract and support a diversity of backgrounds, experience, talent and thought. For this reason, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. This includes candidates that have previously found it hard to be considered for other positions on the basis of their qualifications, disabilities, personal background or life events. If you would like to apply for the position but see a barrier to joining us, please do apply and we will work with you to find a solution. You can also read our full Diversity Equity and Inclusion Policy here.

Who are we looking for?

We seek a Regional Director who is energised by building something new, and who is excited by the idea of growing and supporting a team that is ambitious, leaderful, and excited to help create a vision for CPI Asia. We encourage our staff to work with humility, adopt a learning posture, practice reflection and prioritise relationships just as much as they prioritise setting a vision and strategy for the work we do on the ground, and we are looking for a leader who can embody these skills and practices as they assume what will be a new role for CPI and our work in this region.

We recognise that the process of reimagining government is incomplete without understanding the problem - the many tangible as well as invisible ways in which historically oppressed groups face discrimination and systemic violence or indifference from our public structures and systems. We seek a Regional Director for Asia who holds deep knowledge of these forms of oppression (within and outside of South Asia) and also understands how privilege influences people’s access to justice and equity. For CPI, ‘DEIB’ isn’t just a good-to-have buzzword; it is, in fact, core to our ways of working and being in this world and in this work. We seek teammates who reflect on their own lived experiences in society - the privileges they have been accorded and the ways in which they have been harmed by structural injustice.
