Over 7 courses, you’ll gain in-demand skills that will prepare you to apply for an entry-level job.
You will create designs on paper and in digital design tools like Figma and Adobe XD. By the end of the certificate programme, you will have a professional UX portfolio that includes three end-to-end projects, so that you’re ready to apply for jobs. Upon completion, you can directly apply for jobs with Google and YSYS Employer Partners.

Whether you're just starting out in User Experience (UX) Design or looking to enhance your existing skills, the Google UX Design Certificate is the perfect way to take your career to the next level. This course will equip you with the skills needed for an entry-level position in UX Design in half a year, with no university degree or relevant experience required ... and now we are giving 50 diverse individuals from across the UK the chance to gain this certification for free with a fully-funded scholarship. ​​

Online Videos: Upskill with on-demand videos and readings on UX Design best practices, from Google employees via Coursera.

Slack Community: Connect with a community of 500+ tech enthusiasts supporting one another to reach their goals.

Mentorship: Take advantage of peer-to-peer group support and mentorship from an experienced UX professional, helping you gain valuable insight to the industry.

Office Hours: Set up virtual office hours with UX professionals to deepen your learning and gain employability support from our recruitment coach to help you launch your career in UX Design.

Portfolio-building: Develop a professional level portfolio, filled with the end-to-end projects you complete: a mobile app, a responsive website, and a cross-platform experience.

The application requirements
We’ll be inviting 50 diverse individuals to receive the Google UX Design Certificate Scholarship. We encourage you to apply if you meet the following criteria:

You are over the age of 16 and are from a diverse background*
​

You have an interest in UX Design and are excited to learn about the field.
​

You are committed to attending both online and in-person events throughout the programme, with the support of your allocated mentor.
​
-
You are committed to the full programme duration (31st May 2023 - 30th October 2023) and are prepared to attend the Employer Showcase celebration at the end of the programme.
