🌿 Exciting News - I made the list! Huge thanks to Benzinga Cannabis for recognizing me as one of 23 visionaries shaping the cannabis industry in 2023! 🚀 This year, our industry confronted a range of challenges — from the concerning trend of states hesitating to respect voters' decisions on cannabis (looking at you, Ohio), to a decline in product prices, and an overall reduction in investment. These hurdles weighed heavily on us all, no more so than those in the social equity sector, who courageously bore monumental workloads with a resilience deserving recognition and financial consideration. 💚 A few months ago I had the pleasure of speaking at the Benzinga Capital Conference in Chicago. Despite the hurdles, the air was buzzing with possibilities. The discussions and collaborations that followed in the months after have been nothing short of inspiring. As we wrap up 2023, let's keep in mind the challenges ahead, particularly for those hustling with fewer resources. In 2024, let's intensify efforts both at home and in Washington, ensuring the will of the people is recognized. My crystal ball says 2024 will be the year we finally see cannabis rescheduled. Congratulations to Megan Mowins, who’s design “Peace” is the winner of the Find Your Island competition. We partnered with 4Front Ventures to create a community-driven artist competition to accompany their Island flower brand launch.
