About The Speakers

Elizabeth Clarke, J.D.

Beth Clarke has been involved with horses all of her life and was a serious student of dressage for many years, riding with some of America’s best trainers. A graduate of the University of Virginia Law School, she practiced corporate law for a few years and served a brief tenure as Director of Dressage for the United States Equestrian Team before establishing her own law practice. She has taught equine specific business and law courses at the college level and published many articles on the business side of horses. Her current law practice is concentrated on individual and small business management services, contracts, estate planning and alternative dispute resolution. Her clients include some of the country’s top dressage riders, sport horse breeding and training farms, veterinary practices, as well as other busy individuals and their businesses. She lives in Westfield, Massachusetts.

Kate Tackett

Kate is a lifelong equestrian turned growth and development coach. After working as a dressage professional for 10 years, Kate felt a pull to extend her passion for coaching to those outside the arena. She pursued a master’s degree in organizational psychology at George Mason University where she focused on interpersonal dynamics, leadership, wellbeing, and motivation.  Soon after graduation, BluePrint Development Coaching came to fruition. Kate approaches coaching similarly to her training in the dressage world by providing external feedback on how behaviors are shaping an outcome. Her experience in coaching and education in organizational psychology aid her in creating strategic plans so that clients can maximize their performance, while meeting personal and professional goals.

Paula Berardinelli

Paula has 35+ years of extensive experience in adult education and entrepreneurship, spanning roles as university faculty, consultant, and co-founder of a publicly traded company.
Passion for Collaboration: Paula thrives in collaborative settings, particularly where data, dialogue, and decision-making converge. Her expertise lies in facilitating teams and developing tools to measure and enhance the impact of initiatives.
Practical Problem-Solving: As a practitioner, Paula seamlessly combines theoretical knowledge, industry best practices, and cutting-edge technology to tackle complex business challenges.

Helen Ingersoll

Helen is a lifelong entrepreneur, recovery community member, horse lover, nonprofit volunteer, creator, facilitator, educator, and coach. All of these skills are at the heart of helping equine business owners to identify their values and intentions so that their work has meaning and impact alongside being personally fulfilling.

Catherine Respess

Catherine Respess's work is a thank you note to the many horses who shaped her. The first 20 years of her career in the horse industry, Catherine served as a trainer, competitor, and instructor in a variety of disciplines, including dressage, fox hunting, and polo. Her time as a pro provided many opportunities to acquire deep wisdom about entrepreneurship, personal evolution, customer satisfaction, sales, marketing, and product development.
In 2008, Catherine's creative bones, strategic brain, and equestrian heart lead her to found the company, Red Mare Enterprises. For many years she specialized in graphic design, website development, and business consulting for authors and horse pros. In 2017, she launched a physical product to promote thoughtful riding called The Equestrian Journal. In 2020, she stepped into curriculum development and online educational marketing with the co-creation of Team Tate Academy.

Catherine's talent as a visionary allows her to unearth and articulate the potential within any equestrian business. Working closely with her clients, Catherine crafts income models and strategies that align with her client's values, desired lifestyle, and unique skills and perspective.

In her talk, Catherine will address horse industry pros who are concerned about feeling burdened or burnt out and considering making changes with a business transition. Just like in the tack, transitions are pivotal moments of preparation that allow for more ease, presence, and impact in your professional expression.

Look forward to riding deep into your corners for an exciting discovery of what awaits you on the other side of your next transition.
