Are you a young problem solver, designer or storyteller passionate about making the world a better place? DAME is looking for girls aged 16-17 to join the first ever DAMEchangers Innovation Camp this summer.

What’s it all about?
Together we will co-create the first ever positive period product designed for girls, by girls.
We want to unleash your potential, and empower the next generation of female innovators. This unique opportunity is designed to kickstart your journey as a changemaker. Each girl who attends the innovation camp will leave with a personal manifesto for change, helping you understand how you can make the world a better place, and take action on issues you are passionate about.
Why are we doing this?
This year DAME’s co-founder Celia won the UK Government’s Women in Innovation Award 🙌, and we thought the most appropriate way to celebrate was to ask the Government to support us in kickstarting the next generation of female innovators. And they agreed!
What is the camp?
- The teams will be guided by industry experts on the topics of product design, sustainable packaging and marketing. You’ll leave knowing how to take a product/service from idea to disruptive real-world innovation.
- Alongside the innovation sprint, you will also work on your own changemaker journey, leaving the camp with a personal manifesto for change.
- Each day you will be joined by inspiring female innovators who will share their stories and mentor the girls.
- You’ll spend 5 days with like-minded girls in beautiful Oxford, where you can enjoy downtime, games, excursions and more.
The 5-day residential camp is organised in partnership with Universify Education, experts in creating safe and inspiring experiences for teenagers.
The 20 winners will win a B Corp hamper, a selection of products from our favourite brands using business as a force for good.
How do I apply?
We know that innovators come in different shapes and sizes. That’s why we’ve set 3 distinct challenges to help us find the most diverse changemakers out there. Select whichever challenge best suits your talent, and submit an entry before Sunday 6th June 2021.
All entries will be judged against a fixed set of criteria by a panel of reviewers. We will announce the winners on 25th June.

Who can apply?
The DAMEchangers Innovation Camp is open to any female or person who menstruates or will menstruate, living in the UK aged 16-17 at the time of the camp.
