How to prove you are a human👧
Making things that feel like humans made them in the era of AI
At the onset of the Industrial Revolution, people dreamed of owning perfect, flawless mugs and other goods produced straight from factory lines. Over time, however, the prices of these factory-made items dramatically dropped, and mugs became so easy to produce, widely available, and affordable that anyone could purchase them. But when everyone can own a factory-made mug, what’s the point of owning one?
Today, a quick scroll through Etsy reveals handmade mugs that are often quirky, fragile, and full of imperfections — yet they sell for over $60. People are buying these expensive, flawed mugs because they value the time and effort invested in creating them. The true worth of these mugs lies not in their appearance or practicality, but in the craftsmanship and dedication that went into making them. Moreover, the value of these mugs comes from the fact that a real human, rather than just a machine, made them.
