Volunteer With Us

Food when it's needed most
To start providing meals, as quickly as possible, to people impacted by crises, WCK’s Relief Team works with professional chefs, logistics experts, local restaurants, and other established organizations.
Volunteers are also critical in making our work possible! Depending on the circumstances on the ground, this occasionally includes reaching out to our larger WCK community for support. We aim to work with local leaders from the impacted communities we serve because they have a deep knowledge of the area, culture, and people. Some volunteers do drive or fly in to assist, but they do so at their own cost and by making their own arrangements.
As a disaster relief organization, our volunteer needs fluctuate with each response effort so we cannot predict when we will need your help. Before committing to volunteer, you must create a profile on Volunteer Hub using the button below. Once you are a member of the WCK Volunteer Corps, you will be able to view and sign up for any available volunteer opportunities. We regularly update our site based on our quickly evolving needs, so continue to check back if you do not see any current opportunities.
While we do train our volunteers on site, you can expect to fulfill tasks like:
- Hot food preparation
- Sandwich making
- Meal delivery by foot, car, or any means necessary!
- Loading and unloading kitchen supplies
In some cases, we welcome children accompanied by adults. Different WCK kitchens will have varying capacity to accommodate younger helpers, so be sure to check the age requirement when signing up for a volunteer shift.
To keep our team, volunteers, and the communities we serve safe, we ask that all volunteers be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 in places where vaccines are readily available. Additional protocols are outlined on Volunteer Hub.
We look forward to working with you soon!
