Other Tips

  • If you're unable to secure funds in time to start your studies, contact the university and ask if you can defer your enrolment a year to give you more time to fundraise. You can even try to negotiate a payment plan with them. Many universities are flexible, so it doesn't hurt to ask.
  • Studying at a top-ranked university can open many doors for you, but it can also put you in serious economic debt for years to come. There are LOTS of amazing universities with affordable tution fees that teach in multiple languages, AND many of them offer scholarships and grants, so consider widening your horizons a bit.
  • While it's fun to be on campus, you don't have to study full-time or on site to get a great education. Many universities offer the same degrees online and part-time, especially now since COVID-19.
  • Euclid University and The University of the People both offer online degrees with little to no tuition fees (max $5,000-$8,000/degree).
  • Here is a list of countries where master's tuitions are free, or almost free.
  • If you're employed, consider asking your employer if they may be willing fund or even just loan you the money to study. It never hurts to ask.
  • Be careful of scams and fraud when applying for funding. Here are some tips on what to look out for.
