I bought the book based on a podcast I heard the author on, where it sounded like there was something to learn and understand from his deployed methods.
When I opened the package, I thought, wow that is thin with large font, but never judge a book by its cover.
Then, after reading it, which did not take very long, I was left pretty unimpressed. I have never read the SEO Chatter blog, but I felt the information contained was just respun blog content and running through some basic keyword research methods; another issue with the book was it being used to insert affiliate links for keyword research tools, upsell 'add ons' in the form of excel files and sell one one on sessions, this all seemed a little desperate and not what would have expected from a product of this price.

I've been working in the SEO industry for over 15 years, but I still decided to check out this playbook. The approach that it teaches to keyword research is one of the best I've seen.
Great book if you want to learn about keyword research

It's simple enough for newcomers but also great for someone with SEO experience. Plus, the keyword research strategies can be used with most any SEO keyword research tool (even the cheapest and free ones). Stephen suggests a few tools to try in the book, but I can use my existing tool without any problems.
Getting this book is a no-brainer if you want to learn how to do keyword research and content planning the right way.

The "Strategic" Way to Keyword Research
This is a great book. Solidly written and well-organized. This book finally helped me strategically think about keyword research and focus on the proper SEO metrics which matter most for choosing keywords to target. Also taught me how to cluster keyword topics together for much better SEO rankings. This part is very important. I also learned about two new keyword research tools I've never heard of. Very affordable too. The most important thing I learned re-organized my workflow. It's the only book that I've learned from on how to set up a content plan and schedule, to publish content on my website. I never had a plan before and this kept me unfocused and inefficient.
