We are running a service that connects survivors of sexual assault and abuse with trauma-informed therapists. We’re looking for multilingual therapists to partner with us and deliver remote, short-course therapy to survivors according to your own schedule.

You will need to be confident delivering therapy in one of the following languages:

If you partner with us, you will be delivering short-term therapy to survivors of gender-based violence across the world, at no cost to the survivor.

Background

Chayn is an award-winning, global charity that leverages open-source technology to help every survivor heal and thrive. Chayn started in 2013 to provide survivors of abuse with accurate, diverse and accessible information. Over the past 7 years, 360,000 people have viewed our award-winning work online, generating 1.2 million page views. Our digital services, Little Window (a chatbot that helps survivors of gender-based violence search for information) and Soul Medicine (a micro-course platform) are examples of our innovative approach. Last year, we launched YSM - Your Story Matters - a groundbreaking web app providing safe and timely support for survivors of sexual assault. It is a transformative solution to the complex social challenge of providing a stigma-free environment for survivors to access support they can trust to begin their journey of healing; instead of going to multiple information sources to find relevant local support, YSM brings it all under one roof.

About the Bloom project

We have created Bloom: a free, online, trauma support service for survivors of gender-based violence.

Bloom provides a variety of course options designed to inform and empower survivors. By combining learnings from the science and study of trauma (without any pseudoscience!) with tips, tools, and techniques to support healing, Bloom provides space for survivors to recover from trauma. During each course, we offer support via regular messages; scripted course videos; and a one-to-one chat service between participants and facilitators. Bloom is led by a global team of full and part-time facilitators.

About the role

You will be connected to Bloom users for short-term therapy paid for by us. A specific subset of Bloom users are referred to us by external clients and will subsequently gain access to a platform where they can select one of our therapy partners. Users will have the opportunity to access up to six therapy sessions. Therapy is currently offered in English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, French, and German.

If you partner with us, you will be delivering short-term therapy to survivors of gender-based violence across the world at no cost to the survivor.
