Random Acts of Crazy: Opposites Attract Small Town Romantic Comedy (Random Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
A guitar. Really.
I don't collect guys like that (don't ask what kind of guys I do collect), but when you spot a blonde, tanned, sculpted man with a gorgeous smile and his thumb poking up and practically begging you to stop—you stop.
And I definitely never thought I'd be staring into the bright blue eyes of Trevor Connor, the lead singer for Random Acts of Crazy, an indie rock star I followed like the slobbering fileshare fangirl I am. How he came to be nude and lost six hundred miles from home is quite the tale, but how we fell in love is even more unreal.
Because someone like Trevor Connor, headed to Harvard Law next year, isn't supposed to want someone like me, a rural Ohio chick majoring in Boredom at Convenience Store University who is all curves and frizzy blonde hair and manners so unpolished they have sharp edges that make you bleed.
But he did.
When his best friend, Joe Ross, the bass player for Random Acts of Crazy and a man who makes male models look like ogres, drove eleven hours through the night to rescue him, though, it got real complicated.
It's one thing to like two different guys and be torn. What do you do, though, when maybe—just maybe—you don't have to choose?

Random Acts of Crazy (a New York Times and USA Today bestseller) is a standalone, full-length novel (300+ pages, 85,000 words) featuring Darla Jo Jennings. It has, like many new adult novels, an exploration of identity for the three main characters, doesn't shy away from mature content, and Darla has a sailor's mouth.
Be warned. Be ready. But most of all — prepare to be random. ;)

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).
She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

If you are uncomfortable with the uncritical discussion of sexual activities and non heteronormative intimate relationships, this book is not for you.
Julia Kent takes an improbable event, a hitchhiker clad in only a guitar, and weaves an amusing, lighthearted and credible story. I particularly enjoyed the character development. As their individual histories, motivations and ambitions are revealed Darla, Trevor and Joe and even the minor character's perceptions of the situation they find themselves in enhances the plausibility of this tale. I will definitely be purchasing the next book in this series.
I didn't mind it actually. It's not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Yes, it's a bit out there, sometimes a bit hard to follow with all the internal dialogue going, but it's not that bad.
Darla comes across a very naked Trevor on the the side of the road.
How pray tell did he get from Mass to Ohio? Drugs, lots and lots of drugs. But Darla has come to the rescue. Yes, things get in the way of them actually having sex at first, but it does happen. And Darla loves it! She's not like the other girls that she grew up with, and certainly is not like her Mama.
Trevor comes from the other side of the tracks, the better side really, and meets Darla. He has to get back home to his mom and dad before they lose their minds! Does his friend Joe make it in time, and what happens when all three are together in the hotel room?

Lots of grin moments and although it took a bit to get to the “finally!” Part, it was worth it!
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a laugh and a good read for entertainment value only.
