Overview

Every classroom includes diverse groups of learners, each with different skills, abilities, needs, language proficiencies, and learning preferences. If your school or district has made Universal Design for Learning (UDL) a priority, meeting the needs of different learners may very well be a professional requirement.

But where do you start?

As a teacher or instructional coach, you need instructional practices that promise to meet students where they are, while challenging them to become active, engaged participants in their own learning.

In this 5-session collaborative professional-learning experience, award-winning educator and best-selling author Dr. Catlin Tucker demonstrates how to design and facilitate student-centered learning experiences with blended-learning models to deliver accessible, inclusive and equitable learning experiences for every student.

When you design and facilitate UDL experiences with blended learning, it frees you to move around the classroom, and supercharges the classroom experience, turning traditional lessons into enriching collaborations that put students on a sustainable path to success in school and in life.

Frequently asked questions

What is Supercharge Your Classroom with UDL & Blended Learning — and how can it help?

Created by longtime education coach and author Dr. Catlin Tucker, Supercharge Your Classroom with UDL & Blended Learning is an (5)-session (90 minutes each) collaborative professional-learning experience for administrators, instructional coaches and teachers that demonstrates how blended-learning models can be applied in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) environments to help teachers and instructional coaches effectively deliver accessible, inclusive and equitable learning experiences for every student.

Why do this as part of a cohort?

The RocketPD cohort experience is designed to give school district leaders an actionable, affordable and convenient way to facilitate difficult but necessary strategic conversations and initiatives at a time when schools and school communities face both intense initiative fatigue and competing distractions. Districts can register select members of their building or central-office teams for open cohorts.

What’s included in this program?

Delivered over five weeks, the program includes (5) scheduled structured learning conversations, delivered virtually over Zoom. Plus, password-protected access to the RocketPD Learning Portal, where participants can access practical resources, including a custom “playlist” for each session and, for a limited time, the sessions recordings.

Who should participate?

Supercharge Your Classroom with UDL & Blended Learning is an (5)-session (90 minutes each) collaborative professional-learning experience for administrators, instructional coaches and teachers. Participants will emerge with practical and proven strategies to integrate key principles of blended learning instructional design into Universal Design for Learning (UDL) environments in K-12 classroom.

How will this help my team?

The RocketPD cohort experience provides a unique opportunity for school district leadership and their staff teams to have candid conversations with a nationally recognized educator and best-selling author on the subject of blended learning. Unlike one-off seminars and keynote speeches, the cohort provides a clear opportunity for sustained development and the basis for a framework that school leaders can use to create stronger, more supportive environments for sustainable success.

What is the schedule?

This (5)-session cohort-based experience will take place between November and December 2024. You can view the the full schedule, including dates and times, here. If you want to participate in this cohort, but the dates and times do not work for your schedule, keep in mind that, while live participation is always encouraged, the sessions are recorded and accessible via the RocketPD Learning Portal for a limited time. If you have a large team (10 or more), and the schedule dates and times do not work for you entire team, reach out using the form below to inquire about the formation of a custom cohort for your district.
