    i found this tale much more satisfying than El Amor en los Tiempos del Colera (Love In The Time of Cholera) by Gabriel García Marquez, as I could identify no redeeming or admirable qualities and any of the characters in that ponderous tome. This short story, on the other hand, gives us underdeveloped characters with essentially no known qualities at all with a clear and amusing conclusion. Nothing really there for which to develop a dislike.

    I did ding it one star for using the awkwardly redundant phrasing of "10 year anniversary" rather than simply 10th anniversary.

    Good description. This is a silly short story. Too bad it's not amusing silly. It's wonder why you wasted your time silly. At least I didn't spend very many minutes reading this through. It feels as if someone just sat at a typewriter for an hour or two, typing out a daydream or stream of thought.

I agree with one review that it is a bit chaotic and hard to follow, and yet I didn’t mind. Maybe because I still have the author’s voice in my head after reading J&M.
