Description

This St. Patrick's Day DIGITAL escape room will skyrocket student engagement as they work to solve a series of math problems and puzzles in order to "escape the leprechaun." Kids have so much fun they forget they're learning!

The best part? You'll save yourself TONS of time because there's no printing, cutting or laminating needed. Simply assign in Google Classroom or using a link. All you need is a device, a free Google Drive account and access to the internet.

This resource includes:

⭐The Google Sites link you will assign to your students to complete the escape

⭐Teacher instructions for using and assigning the escape

⭐An optional Google Slides version of the escape (in case your district blocks Google Sites)

⭐An answer key

There are 5 tasks/activities for students to complete:

-Geometric Terms in Google Forms (Line, line segment, ray, point, parallel lines, perpendicular lines)

-Name the 3D Shape in Google Slides (Rectangular prism, cube, square pyramid, cone, triangular prism, cylinder)

-Ruler Measurement (to the nearest quarter inch) in Google Forms

-Jigsaw puzzle that reveals an elapsed time word problem

-Simplifying Fractions in Google Sheets

All of the tasks contain "kid-friendly" directions so they can complete the escape independently or in groups/teams.

*Please watch the preview video to see the escape in action.

______________________________

This escape room is meant to be challenging and will take approximately 45 minutes, depending on your students’ ability levels. If they don’t finish in time, you can have them save their codes on scratch paper to quickly re-enter at a later time.

This product will work on iPads, laptops and Chromebooks as long as you have internet access and a free Google account. Please make sure that your students can access Google Slides and Google Sheets. (If you are working on iPads then you will need to have the free Google Slides and Google Sheets apps downloaded in order for your students to edit the activities.)
