Another news from the CEECCNA Collaborative Fund (CCF) -- we are excited to announce that we are now welcoming applications to build our first Participatory Decision-Making Committee.
As an activist-led fund, we are committed to democratizing resource distribution practices and putting analysis of regional intersectional grassroots organizers at the center of the decision-making on where funding goes. Composed of 15 activists, the multi-regional Participatory Decision-making Committee plays a key role in co-designing the CCF´s resource distribution mechanisms, contributing to the portfolio conceptualization and holding decision-making power in selecting the Fund´s movement partners.

〰 Whom are we looking for
At this moment, we are seeking activists based in and coming from Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Central and North Asia with experience working with intersectional movements, in particular: feminist, women's rights and gender justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, ethnic and racial justice, Roma rights, Indigenous peoples rights; migrant rights; refugees and forcibly displaced peoples rights; rights of people living with HIV, sex workers rights, disability justice, climate justice, economic justice, labor justice, peacebuilding and demilitarization, decolonization, digital rights, Narrative change and independent media organizing in the regions.
Please note that priority will be given to candidates from historically and currently excluded communities in CEECCNA regions self-identifying as women, trans, and gender non-conforming people. Diasporic and migrant organizers from CEECCNA regions are strongly encouraged to apply.
〰 Dimensions of the role
The Committee Members are expected to accompany the Fund for a maximum of three Resource Distribution cycles. We expect that the engagement will take up to 7 hours per month on average, except for the periods of active co-design, application review, and decision-making;
The role is voluntary, nevertheless, CCF follows a feminist practice of compensating the engagement, time, and expertise of grassroots activists. Therefore, the committee members will be compensated USD 1000 per year;
To ensure that the power of decision-making is shared among representatives of all movements and geographies that CCF works for, we ensure that the committee member role is rotational. Through a participatory process, we will work together on a transition-out and rotation system.
