My past was destructive.
It haunts my dreams.
The moment I embraced my addiction, I knew my life would change dramatically.

As the VP of the Houston Defiance MC, my job is to stand tall. Contain the demons clawing from the inside, begging to escape from within. But when I embrace my bloodlust, nothing can tame my wrath.

Zero took me in as part of his family - a bond unbreakable.
I should care about the no-touch rules.
And the fact they are in place on his sister.

But the draw to Prinie is addictive, destructive, exhilarating.
And I am all too aware that I'm dangerous.
She needs to see that too.

Her brother loathes the idea of us. Honestly, I put up a fight too.
But maybe fighting my addiction to her is impossible?
When chaos strikes the club, we'll turn to each other.
But chaos can just as easily rip us both to shreds.

From International Bestselling Author KE Osborn comes the second book in the Houston Defiance MC Series.

FFS, I failed to review, AGAIN! *eye roll* I AM THE WORST! Now that I’ve got that off my chest, I shall review …

I’m a fan of mc romance fiction. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who knows me or follows me. I like my mc romance fiction to be realistic or as close to real as possible, so yeah, there’s going to be some law breaking and some bad behavior shenanigans in the mix. I’m okay with that; it’s what they do. There’s also a brotherhood that supersedes all things. That’s the clincher for me. That’s my mc romance crack. I have to have that element, first and foremost. When I get all the elements, I’m like a kid in a candy story … gimme gimme gimme. K.E. Osborn does an exceptional job of doing all of this and then some. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth mentioning again and again, she is respectful of the subject matter she incorporates in her storylines and blends the storyline of the MC and the couple the book focuses on flawlessly!

Prinie and Wraith both have not had an easy go of it in this thing called life. Honestly, most of it is traumatizing even to me and I’m reading a fictional story so … And that’s where this author shines. It’s realistic and relatable. I mean Wraith is crazy guys. Like psychotic lunatic kinda crazy, but his demos are embedded in his soul and his lunacy doesn’t come from some over the top storyline. Like I said, real. Now, Prinie, she’s gonna test you. Like slap your momma test you. LOL But again, her idiotic behavior comes from a real place. It’s all very plausible and that’s what makes you root for them! On paper, these two would be oil and water but they are perfect for each other and their souls. Their story has very little rainbows and gumdrops but it’s full of hope …

I have yet to catch up with all the books I want to read by this author but at least they’re on my kindle and ready! LOL She’s very good with character chemistry and growth and story plot unfolding. I’ve found her books, thus far, very suspenseful and unpredictable and captivating. You can’t really ask for much more than that!

Addictive is book 2 of the Houston Defiance MC. Just like book 1, this book is packed with a lot of action. The story focuses on Wraith and Zero's little sister Princess. You can expect this story to be entertaining, unpredictable, and at times heart breaking.

Wraith has lived a rough life. He has some deep dark demons that consume him down to his soul. He's so hard on himself, he's his own worst enemy. Wraith has an addictive personality, although his addictions are out of the ordinary. His most recent addiction is Princess. Zero is his best friend and Wraith takes his opinions to heart. So when Zero lashes out about the situation with Prinie, things become tense. Zero should give Wraith more credit, but instead Zero confirms Wraith's self doubts.

Prinie is still immature for her age. She throws temper tantrums and then gets huffy when called out on it. Part of it is because she is still suffering mentally as well as emotionally with what has happened to her family and with the club.

Wraith and Prinie have both been traumatized by events in their life. She doesn't want to change him she just wants to love him. To help sooth his thoughts and demons. His issues are rooted so deep that they make him nuts, literally. He's a psycho, but he's prinies psycho. Lol.

They can't fight their chemistry and attraction, it's inevitable. Once they realize this, they can stop fighting each other and themselves and save the fighting for everyone and everything that's getting in their way of being together.

I'm looking forward to the next installment!

This is the second book in The Houston Defiance MC series. After reading this book I can honestly say this is my favourite MC series that I'm currently reading and I am reading a few. This is definitely a 5 star series.

This is Wraith & Prinies story.
In Explosive the first book in this series we saw the trauma that Prinie went through, She witnessed her mum and dad being killed in the clubhouse by club enemies so she made a decision to take her younger brother koda away from the club for a year and now they are back.

Wraith had a tormented childhood which we found out in this book. His story broke me and I had tears in my eyes as he was telling Prinie the only person he has ever trusted with the extent of what he had to endure as a child/teenager.

Zero the clubs president is set up by a club enemy and is sent to jail so as the VP of the club we see Wraith step up as the interim Pres while they try and get Zero out. The club is still going up against The Baron from book 1 and Wraith runs into someone he met in juvie who he didn't get along and causes trouble for both Zero & Prinie.

This book is action packed with lots of drama. I like that the series has a story that flows through the different books plus we get the story of whomever the book is about and there is a HEA. I also like that these books are full length books and not quick short reads so you have time to develop a connection with the other MC characters in the background of the story.

I would highly recommend The Houston Defiance MC series and I can't wait for the next book Fugitive which features Kevlar and I think he will have one heck of a story to tell.

Houston Defiance MC at its Best!!

Another winner in this series!! The Prez of the Houston Defiance MC had found Wraith in a bar and that was the beginning of Wraith finding a way to fuel his addiction. Prinie had been through so much with watching her parents killed before her eyes and takes off with her little brother Koda. Now a year later she is back and things are just as crazy. Her brother, the Prez/Zero has been arrested and it seems like everyone wants him dead. It’s up to VP/Wraith to keep the club running while trying to get Zero out before it’s too late.

Wraith’s upbringing would bring anyone to tears and it has shaped him into a killing machine. He likes to use his hands to strangle people and that is also played out in his other appetites. So no matter how much Prinie was to be with Wraith he is the one pulling back because he doesn’t want to lose himself and hurt her. Zero has also declared Prinie is off limits to all club members and that most definitely includes his best friend and VP Wraith.

This book was so good that it was a one sit read for me. The chemistry was sizzling, the rollercoaster ride of emotions was constant and the surprises that come are game changers. I would highly recommend this book. Do yourself a favor and read Explosive which is the first book in this amazing series.

Do you like men with muscles?  Men with tattoos?  Do you like men that when they love they love so deeply and strongly they would do anything for the person they love?  Well hot damn then you are in luck because Addictive by K E Osborn is such story.   This is the second book in The Houston Defiance MC Series, and it is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!  Since the books are stand-alone you don’t have to read book one, but I highly recommend it because it sets the tone and backstory for the rest of the series.  Of course, if you have a MC you are going to have action and this book is filled from front to back with it.  The story is centered around the club’s VP, Wraith, and the club princess, Kharlie (AKA Prinie).  I had mixed feelings about Prinie, on one hand I thought this is a woman that knows what she wants and she’s going to fight till she gets it.  On the other hand, I thought she was selfish and was going to get the man she supposedly loved killed.  Oh, the drama!!!!! And then poor Wraith is just trying to do the right thing and try to fight his own demons. But when they come knocking at his door he feels obligated to open.  Someone needs to give this man a hug!  5-tattoos for Addictive by K E Osborn.

Wraith was brought into the Houston Defiance MC at a time in his life when he was at his lowest.  Zero rescued Wraith and he owes him everything.  It is an unspoken rule that NO ONE touches Prinie the club princess and Zero’s sister.  Wraith and Prinie are like oil and water but for some reason they can’t seem to stay away from each other.  If Wraith doesn’t stop things at the start, then he knows that Prinie will become Addictive and could possibly cost him his MC family or his life.  But what if no one knows?  Would it really be so bad to be with Prinie, the only woman that has ever made Wraith feel something other than hate?

Houston Defiance is on fire! I felt Wraith’s turmoil, anguish, pain and rage...the emotions were so strong. Prinie has definitely had her share of living through tragic situations but will not let Wraith walk away from her again. They have so many obstacles to over come and one biggie is Zero. Wraith is juggling so much and will need to conquer his demons in order to win the battle.

I loved the first book and I wanted to read Wraith's book so much. And I loved Wraith.
When the Club president gets arrested its up to the VP to run the club.
But so many things happening at the same time.
He has to run the club, make sure that his Club President doesn't get dead in prison and stay away from the club president at the same time as making sure that she is looked after.

Prinie and Wraith have this attraction to each other. But Wraith thinks he should stay away from her because he has demons and is afraid to hurt her. But Prince believes that Wraith will do anything to take care of her and she knows that she can make it work but she has to convince Wraith that he is exacy what she needs

I enjoyed this one so much, I knew I would. I have to say some parts I really wanted to smack Prinie. I thought that Wraihh was during with so much and it felt like she was so needy. But Wraith was amazing. The story was good. It was full of suspense action drama and intense moments that you won't see coming. I can't wait for the next book in this series💖😊

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Wraith and Prinie’s journey. My heart broke from the very beginning from all they Wraith endured growing up, and the way in which is affects his current behaviour. Wraith is now the VP and he was rescued off the streets by Zero who is the President, and Prinie is Zero’s sister. Wraith and Prinie are drawn to each other, but he wants to distance himself from her, and there is a push and pull going on between them throughout, and they have many challenges to overcome. When Zero is set up and goes to jail, it is up to Wraith as acting Pres to keep the club together while trying to prove Zero’s innocence. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, action, emotions, danger, suspense, and love. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout this riveting and addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more in this fantastic series which I recommend for all MC lovers.

K.E. Osborn weaves a tale that lives up to and exceeds its title, ADDICTIVE.
Prinie and Wraith's emotional and raw story instantly grabbed my heart and undivided attention. With a desperation for these two deserving souls to have a HEA I devoured every word in one sitting.
Riddled with demons from the past, heartbreak, suspense, action, alpha ness, angst, love, understanding, and an undeniable connection, Wraith's and Prinie's story took me on one heck of an an emotional rollercoaster.
I shedded tears as my heart broke, I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation, I experienced feelings of frustration, I was invested in the main and secondary characters, The twists and turns had me gasping in shock and surprise, and finally the story left me with a warmed heart when the emotional rollercoaster finished at a beautiful HEA.
A highly recommend read!!! This is Book 2 in the Houston Defiance MC series and I strongly recommend starting at Book 1. Bring on Book 3 Fugitive, featuring Kevlar. I can't wait for his story.

If you are a fan of KE Osborn, then you will love this book. Addictive is Wraith and Kharlie's book. When the club is thrown into chaos, its up to Wraith to lead them all the while trying to protect the one who should be leading them. The action in this book is amazing and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is the second book in the Houston Defiance MC series.

Wrath’s childhood was a nightmare. It broke my heart hearing what he went through.

Prinie knows she should stay away but she’s drawn to him.

“I’m glad you think that way because I’ve seen the way Wraith watches you when you’re not looking. He adores you. The same goes in reverse. Anyone can see you’re crazy for each other.”

The drama and action is non stop. Old enemies are back. Shocking revelations come to light.

Absolutely volatile. Miss Osborn is doing it yet again. Her intricate storytelling covers every base. The president of Defiance is arrested. Can his best friend help prove his innocence? Hold on for the ride...I promise you, this book is very intense.

Talon was trying to hide his dark side when he meet Zero in a bar.
Been in an mc club Zero knew Talon needed his club so began the change from Talon to Wraith.
Prinie is the clubs Princess, sister to Zero & out of bounds to all.
The pull between Wraith & Prinie is strong but he doesn't trust himself.
This book has plenty of action and unexpected events.
I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more in the series with "Fugitive" the next book to follow.

My Rating: 4 stars!

** ARC was generously provided by the author in exchange for my honest review. **

After reading the first book in the series and how it ended, I knew I had to read Wraith’s story.

Addictive was not at all what I was expecting! 😱

The story is so much more that a simple MC romance. Wraith has such a broken past that he can’t seem to escape from no matter how hard he tries. It’s disturbing, tragic and completely heartbreaking to read about. I really didn’t know what I was getting into but the minute Wraith’s story begins to unravel, you start getting that uneasy feeling as you read on knowing it’s not going to be so pretty.

This book is not for the fainthearted. It delves into serious subject matter that can be triggering for anyone. It contains detailed violence, addiction, drug and sexual abuse. It can be a difficult topic to read about, so please keep in mind before starting this book.

Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, there was a lot to take in. Most of it is set in a dark, gritty atmosphere with constant problems arising, not only for Wraith and Prinie’s relationship, but for the MC itself. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and I’m not going to lie, I might’ve had moments of panic at what could possibly happen next. Eeep. 🙈

It’s unpredictable and oh-so suspenseful that that alone was what kept me reading. The constant questions and second-guessing added extra excitement to this forbidden/ hate to love MC romance.

The first book gave an unbelievable introduction to the world-building of the Houston Defiance MC, and Addictive effortlessly expanded it further. You get an insight to more of the other brothers in the club, the group dynamics and the relationships that have formed.

There are secondary characters I’m eager to see more of and hope they get their own book in the future. I love that all these bikers have history and it comes through in moments when they give sound advice to Wraith.

And whilst this book didn’t have as much swoony moments as the first book had between Zero and Rayne, seeing any scene between Wraith and Prinie just made it all the more special because they were rare. I only wish there were more them! They have a complicated push and pull relationship and it’s helluva slow burn! You’ll be frustrated and you might even wail (not saying that I did… *cough*) but I found with all slow burn romances I’ve read, is that it is well worth the wait when you finally see them get together! 😉

Wraith and Prinie have quite a journey. It’s full of hurdles and it feels like the world is always against them but coming away from this read, you realize how much they both grow as individuals and as a couple. The character growth is extraordinary — especially from Wraith’s POV. With his scars and the constant battle he has with himself, you get to see how much he develops as a character. Ugh. *hand to heart* ❤

Prinie is young, yet she’s already lived such a life. Her struggles are relatable and you can’t help but sympathize for her. But I’m relieved to see Osborn created her as character who yes, is vulnerable but who also has a strength within her to overcome issues. She’s a persistent little firecracker!

But what I loved most about their complicated relationship is they give each other strength and support despite the fact that they consistently bicker and banter, nevertheless when push comes to shove… they’ve got each other’s back. It’s palpable how much they care for another and for the people they consider family.

The support of the MC is another highlight. These guys may not be all about openly sharing their feelings but they are supportive as hell! As I mentioned earlier, this story is not for the fainthearted, and a big chunk of it is full of darkness. But Osborn has added some lightheartedness in between to really give not only her characters, but the readers a breather.

A beautiful story of family, growth, overcoming adversaries, and moving on from the past. A steady paced storytelling told perfectly from Wraith and Prinie’s POVs. It’s a story full of emotion that’ll have you sighing in contentment once you reach the last page. A great sequel and addition to the Houston Defiance MC series.

Although each book centers around a different hero/ heroine, I recommend you read Explosive first because the books do interconnect. You’ll get a better grasp of the world and the relationships within.

Addictive is just that Addictive, K E Osborn with the 2nd outing of The Houston Defiance MC has drawn me further into lives and loves of this ruthless but loyal family. An emotional story of a couple destiny to be together but the past keeping them apart!

We meet Wraith and Prinie (Zero the presidents sister) in the first book and we knew that there was a story brewing between them. It had started the year before when after her parents were killed in front of her and they younger brother she decided to leave the club - but now she is back and tension is running high. There is no doubt that the two should be together but Wraith's past is keeping him from claiming the only woman that gets under his skin it doesn't help that Zero has told him to keep clear of his sister. But things at the club are about to get tough and Wraith has to take the lead and keep not only the club safe but the only woman he has ever loved while knowing the best thing he can do is keep away from her

Although Prinie understand's why Wraith is keeping his distance it doesn't make it any easy and she is willing to do anything to be with the moody biker, but when she final understand's the demons living in him it makes her more determined to be with the man she loves. But the MC is about to come under attack again can Wraith save the club and the woman he loves!

The Houston Defiance MC is full of drama, excitement, passion and loyalty. Wraith and Prinie aren’t supposed to have a relationship. Zero, Prinie’s brother and president of the club, has warned all the members to stay away from Prinie. Wraith, however, even as VP, gets his own warning. Wraith has some crazy, intense behaviors that makes him a risk for Prinie. Learning about his childhood and what he endured from his mother is heart-breaking but it shows why he does what he does and how it calms the demons inside. Once again, the club is faced with new challenges as Zero ends up in jail. Wraith has to step up as acting president to get him out and figure out why they are losing product on shipments. At the same time, he is trying to protect Prinie from himself. Prinie knows the challenges in front of her and Wraith but she isn’t giving up. She is tough, growing up in the MC, so she won’t let Wraith continue to hide his feelings. This journey is shocking, powerful and beautiful as they both fight for the love they deserve while protecting the family that makes them whole. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Wraith is currently the VP of the Houston Defiance MC and is trying to cope with a tortured and destructive past. The President of the Club, Zero, took him in and made him part of the family, but Prinie his younger sister and the club Princess although she has been made clearly out of bounds for Wraith, is just an addiction that he cannot resist, even though he knows that is bloodlust means he must stay away from her. However, when chaos hits at the heart of the club, can they both resist the addiction that they both suffer from, or will the chaos just as easily tear them both apart?

OMG, this was good. I loved the mixture of danger, drama, twists and turns as we navigated our way through this story. At the end of the book, some major twists and turns started to rock the foundations and through it all, they managed to handle what was thrown at them and take the rest of the club with them. The bombshell at the end of the story was interesting and will make for a great next story in the series (which I can't wait to read!). Well written, clear and easy to feel and understand, this is a must-read for anyone who is partial to an MC story with characters who play hard, drink hard and love hard too. Contains explicit sexual content.

KE Osborn is one of my go-tos for MC romances, the books are gritty and real and make you question so many things. Addictive lives up to it's name and is the 2nd book in The Houston Defiance MC series. It tells a tale of heartbreak, addiction, and a connection that is so freaking deep. While it is not on the dark dark side of a dark romance, it still has elements in it that a dark romance lover will love.

All in all this book was my jam, I liked the connection between the characters and the story as a whole. I am digging this new chapter in the Defiance MC books and can't want to see what is coming up. If you like your books with more grit and experiences that tear your heart out, this is one you should check out! I give Addictive 4.5 outta 5 star!

PS: Thank you to KE Osborn and The Hatters Author Services for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

There are far more reasons for Wraith to stay far away from Kharlie or Princess as everyone calls her - but he just can't. And when the wolves circle the club's doors - there is no way he can resist her any longer.

This was book two of the Houston Defiance spin-off series (highly suggest you read book one - there are a lot of things that come up there that come to fruition in this book) and it is an emotional, sexy, slow-burn second chance with a twist of best friend's little sister. I loved Wraith - he is dark, stormy and broody and all things delicious and tattooed from his messed up family to his seriously horrific childhood (CW: pedophilia and rape) but he also - gasp - makes himself go to therapy and is only mildly magically fixed. (I do wish there was more of his healing instead of a lot of it happening off the page.) Kharlie is a little inconsistent and a little whiney but she is also like nineteen years old so I guess that holds up - she definitely seeks and takes advice and grows which is the best part of any character.

Though I am not thrilled with the use of Addiction as a description/ theme here when it is not truly medical addiction - I did end up enjoying the theme. There are also so timeline errors between books one and two but I think that is just a hyper detail-oriented person thing.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

His is the second book of the series. With this second book it is leading you further into the world of Defiance, then ever before.
Princess has had a bad year so far. She and her younger brother both watched their parents being killed , by having their throats cut in front of them. It took an emotional toll on everyone involved.
Wraith, is trying to fight his addiction of strangling the women who he is with in bed. Along with that he is trying to control his anger, its not easy, but for the love of his life, Princess, he will do anything.
They both fight for the other through family, friends, the past and for the future. It is always easy to be addicted to the bad things in life, but not so easy to be addicted to the good things in life.

I'm fairly certain that KE Osborn is trying to kill me... this book was GAH! Just Everything! The book hangover is real ya'll!

From beginning to end I was hooked on all things Wraith, Prinie & The Houston Defiance. So many twists & turns(like throw your kindle wtf are you doing to me Osborn twists), personal demons, ALL the angst & one unavoidable and undeniable connection but with enemies around every corner do these two even stand a chance?

Honestly, The Houston Defiance Series has quickly become one of my favorites and I cannot wait for Fugitive 💙

WOW what a ride!! Wraith and Kharlie each deserve a HEA and I’m so glad they found each other. I had so many feels, my heart hurt for both Wraith with his painful upbringing and what Khalie witnessed. The story itself was phenomenal like seriously absolutely magnificent.
KE Osborn has once again written a 5 star read that deserves so many more.

✯✯5 Highly Addictive Stars!!!✯✯

OMFG YES!!!! I’ve been wanting Wraith and Prinie’s story since I was reading Explosive . i KNEW Wraith and Prinie had something between them. Something had happened and nobody knew about it, ESP Zero. I thought I was ready for Addictive but man K.E Osborn blew me away.

Talon AKA Wraith had a crappy childhood and an even crappier mom, if you’d even call her a mom. When Talon was just about to fully give into hid addiction Zero met him in a bar. Zero was the VP of The Chicago Defiance MC, he should’ve been celebrating his wedding but that fell apart and him and his best friend Neon are arguing.

Zero sees something in Talon and Talon becomes Zero’s project. It’s where Talon became Wraith. Zero gave Wraith an MC of brothers, a place he can feed his addiction safely and he even saw a therapist to learn to deal with it. There’s only one rule Wraith and the brothers have to follow: Hands off Prinie.

The past year hasn’t been easy for Kharlie AKA Prinie. She’s the Princess of the Chicago Defiance. When their clubhouse was attacked they watched her parents get their throats slit, leaving her and her brothers alone, her older brother Zero the new President. Prinie took her younger brother Koda and then ran away for a year until Zero came to get them .

Things have stayed crazy since she’s been bc her best friend Rayne came back and fell for Zero. But, an argument between her and Wraith broug the truth of a secret they’ve been keeping from Zero. Zero punches Wraith and Prinie and Zero talk. But, before all 3 of them can sit down and discuss it, the cops bust thru the doors and arrest Zero for kidnapping Rayne and holding her against her will. Prinie’s devastated she’s loosing Zero after being away from him for the last year. Zero leaves the club and Prinie’s safety at the hands of his VP & best friend, Wraith.

One minute Wraith was bracing himself for Zero kicking him out of his club for breaking the one rule he was given. The next minute Zero’s being handcuffed and leaving Wraith in charge making him the interim president. In Wraith’s eyes and POV the only time the VP moves up is in the President retires or passed away. He doesn’t want his best friend position but he’ll do the best possible job.

Wraith knows this is hard on his brothers, Zero’s Old Lady but he knows it’ll be hardest on Prinie. All Wraith wants to do is wrap her in his arms so she’s protected but he knows he can’t. Their one night together a year ago he almost gave fully into his addiction and he’d never wanna hurt Prinie. For that reason alone he keeps her at arms length. It might just kill them both.

Wraith along with the help of Neon got Zero the best lawyer possible. They all know they’re going against the Baron and his connections run deep, ruthless and most people don’t want to go against him but they found just the right person.

Just when Wraith thought things couldn’t worse he thought wrong. Wraith, Kevlar and the lawyer go visit Zero who’s been beaten pretty bad by his cellmate. When Zero mentions his cellmate’s name Wraith’s blood freezes up.

Zero’s cellmate is the same cellmate Wraith had in juvie. Damir tortured Wraith the whole time and came close to killing Wraith. Before Wraith could leave in walks Damir who spots Wraith. It’s then Wraith realizes how bad things are bc while they’ve been sitting and talking Damir’s family has been next to them listening to their entire conversation and Wraith’s weakness has finally been exposed to Damir....Prinie. Prinie is the only weakness Wraith has and he knows Damir will use her against him.

Even though Wraith keeps Prinie at arms length it just keeps getting harder and harder. He knows why he’s keeping her away but he’s about ready to give into what he wants bc if Wraith can get over his addiction it’ll be for Prinie. Prinie is tired of the hot and cold game Wraith is playing. She knows between Wraith’s addiction and his love and loyalty to Zero and the club is the reason he won’t give in to his feelings for her. One night totally changes that until Wraith’s past comes barging into their clubhouse and plans on finishing the job.

OMG I fell hard for Zero but Wraith.... he’s everything!!! I’d totally let him do whatever he wanted to me and not care lol.

This was just as good as the first book and the set up for the next book is proof that it’ll be as good as the first two!!!

ADDICTIVE is the second instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult HOUSTON DEFIANCE MC erotic, MC romance focusing on the members of the Houston Defiance MC. This is twenty eight year old, club Vice President Talon aka ‘Wraith ‘ , and twenty year old Kharlie aka ‘Prinie’’ Walker’s story line. ADDICTIVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one EXPLOSIVE for back story and history. Some of the timeline of ADDICTIVE runs parallel to and over laps with Explosive-the current time line picks up immediately after the events of book one.

WARNING: Due to the graphic subject matter of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Prinie and Wraith) using present day and memories from the past, ADDICTIVE follows the forbidden relationship between is twenty eight year old, club Vice President Talon aka ‘Wraith ‘ , and twenty year old Kharlie aka ‘Prinie Walker. Twelve years earlier, a then sixteen year old Talon escaped a life from h*lll only to find himself struggling to fit in until the day he meets Houston Defiance MC then VP Krew ‘ Zero’ Walker who will take Talon under his wing, introducing him to the family he will come to call his own. Fast forward to present day wherein the tempestuous relationship between Prinie and Wraith reveals a prior history that is about to rain h*ll upon our story line couple but a police raid on the Houston Defiance compound finds Zero taken into custody as the MC members struggle to make sense of it all. With Wraith now the temporary President, our ‘anti-hero’ must take command in an effort to free his friend before there is no life to be freed. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Prinie and Wraith; Wraith’s struggle with demons of the past; and the battle to protect the MC president from the fall-out of a vendetta years in the making.

The relationship between Prinie and Wraith is one of second chances; a forbidden romance wherein Wraith battles the demons that threaten to destroy the woman he loves, and an ‘addiction’ and need to punish anyone who gets in his way. The $ex scenes are disturbing and intense-with emotional and dark scenarios of erotic asphyxiation.

Once again there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, most of whom are members of the Houston Defiance MC: Club President Krew ‘Zero’ Walker and his old lady Rayne aka Cherry: Zero and Prinie’s younger brother Koda; Phantom, Liam aka ‘Kevlar’, and his brother Ethan, Fox and Bub, Texas, Neon, Chains and Chills (Dr. Rebecca), and their son Kobe, as well as prospect Luc, and his girlfriend Ruby, and attorney Finley Knight. The requisite evil has many faces.

ADDICTIVE is a dark and gritty story; a heart breaking and emotional tale of a young man whose life was destroyed by the very people who should have loved and protected him. The premise is controversial and dramatic; the characters are broken, struggling, battered and survivors; the romance is energetic and raw.

The suspense and tension is gripping

Brilliant, captivating and very very addictive. KE Osborn's mesmerising words shine once again. ADDICTIVE was chilling, suspenseful, dramatic, sexually intense ... it was EVERYTHING!!! Kim certainly knows how to take me on a twisting, turning rollercoaster ride. This is the story of Talon "Wraith" and Kharlie "Prinie", and it will break your heart and inspire you.

"... he is my storm, and when I'm in his presence, it's like I'm in the eye of the hurricane, and I just have to wait and hold on for the ride that's coming."

Wraith and Prinie are two broken souls, battling demons from their past and their emotions for each other. Wraith must also deal with leading the MC and ensuring Zero's safety when Zero is suddenly taken from them. He knows he should stay away from Prinie, due to his past and Zero's orders, however he finds it an impossibility ... she has become the light to his darkness, she gives him hope. Prinie wants Wraith and she makes i known to him, however she does have a stubborn streak that has her often turning her back on him. Their relationship is full of give and take, but the moments they are together are pure heaven. Can they overcome the obstacles they face to find happiness together?

"She is my home. My one true north. She is the puzzle piece who completes me every damn time."

While Wraith and Prinie's relationship is front and centre in this story, there are other things going on that cause chaos within the club. There is the need to keep one of their members protected from harm, the kidnapping of another, so many twists and turns that ensures the reader remains heavily invested in the Houston Defiance MC. Kim's writing and descriptions are graphic, violent, beautiful and sexy all at the same time, ensuring the reader wants to return for more.

Once again Kim has wowed me with her story. He epilogue ensuring that book 3, Fugitive Kevlar's story, will be another mustread in this already amazing series.

Addictive is the second title in the Houston Defiance MC series, featuring Wrath and Prinnie. Whilst you can read this dark and gritty title as a standalone, I highly recommend that you read Explosive first as this title continues on from the events that occurred in Zero’s book.
Wraith and Prinnie’s story is an emotional, forbidden romance. This pair has a tumultuous relationship full of miscommunications, denial and feuds.
Prinnie is strong willed, stubborn, sassy and quick witted. She’s driven, determined and very persistent when she wants something. She’s also incredibly vulnerable from events of her past, yet also incredibly resilient and strong.
Wraith is haunted by his past, which is not only tragic, but quite disturbing and his present is fueled by rage and pain.
Despite the fact that Prinnie is off limits, this pair are inexplicably drawn to each other, and whilst their banter is often argumentative, and antagonistic, it’s also quite flirtatious.
If you enjoy an MC romance full of action and intrigue, with unpredictable and surprising twists and turns Addictive is the book for you.
Although full of family, friendship, love and loyalty, this title also contains some scenes that may be triggers for some readers.
I will be eagerly awaiting the next title in the Houston Defiance MC series.

Sometimes when you read a book, you immediately torn about one of the characters. That's certainly the case with this book and I have to say that it does add a whole new element to the story. While our heroine Prinnie has a complicated past, it's nothing on our hero Wraith.
If this were a different book, from a different point of view, I think he could well be the villain of the piece. Not because of the way that he treats Prinnie, although that is complicated in itself, but because of the other things that he does. I remember reading once that if you show a character loves another, then it helps to win the reader over. There's no doubt that Wraith loves Prinnie, completely and utterly and I think that is the reason that we can relate to him and feel for him in this book.
This is the first Houston Defiance MC book that I've read. I suspect that it might not be the last. I enjoy books that push the boundaries and make us question our perceptions about people. I'm not sure that I'd call this a dark romance, although there is certainly a dark element to the story. Whatever it is, I enjoyed it. Prinnie and Wraith make a great couple and I enjoyed reading their story as it unfolded.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
