New tools & resources you can’t miss, finding your audience & creating breakthroughs for students

Hi friends,

This week felt like Christmas came early for course creators and online education enthusiasts.

Every day another launch of an awesome tool or resource. I bet one of these will be helpful for you!

Here’s the recap:

Monday 📆 Virtually launched their Events Manager

An easy way to automate your Zoom events for your course. Create calendar invites, send reminders, and track attendance all in one tool.

Tuesday 📈 Yours truly launched Course Creator Lab

It’s a free resource to help you launch, run, and scale your online course. Including templates, checklists, guides, and a job board to help you meet freelancers.

Wednesday 🧑‍🏫 David Zelniker launched LOTI (Learning on the Internet)

Part guide, part guidance counselor, to help you discover the best creators and their courses online. Plus, a Student’s Union!

Thursday 📚 Dylan from Growth Currency launched The Ultimate Creator Database of Awesomeness

The best resources for creators. Filter by category, creator, or content type. And while you’re there, sign up for the newsletter!

Also Thursday 🏠 The team from Burb launched a free Student Home Notion Template

One centralized place where your students can see every step on their learning journey, incl. assignments, events, student directory, progress tracking, and more. They’re also hosting workshops next week to help you set it up.

Amazing things are happening in the online education space. I’m pumped!

Here are a few more things I want to share with you this week.

✍️ Copywriting

I have to remind myself of this constantly!

How to Find Your Audience Niche (Simple Hack for Twitter)

If you’re struggling with “Who should I write for?” and “What should I write about?” then check out this Twitter hack by Ish Baid that helps you answer both questions.

🤓 Online Courses

Great courses create safe spaces for discussions. And great instructors aren’t afraid of having their approach challenged.

Creating breakthroughs for your students with the Troika Consulting exercise

In online courses, students often learn as much (or even more) from their peers as from the instructor. I’ve seen it again and again: Breakthroughs happen in breakout rooms. So, how can you actively create these moments for your students? Try running this exercise.

📈 Productivity

Speaking from experience: half-finished drafts haunt me and take up mental bandwidth that I’d rather use elsewhere.

Enjoying the first eggnog of the season,
