The Leidos CIO Services Customer Service and User Engagement (CSDX) team is seeking a User Experience (UX) intern. The selected candidate will work with the UX Team Manager and other team members on multiple projects applying UX processes, methods, and tools to support our user-centric IT initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
You will report to the User Experience Manager and will work with a geographically dispersed team of project managers, executives, and engineers to help other Leidos employees understand IT processes and changes.
This dynamic role blends UX, communication, IT, psychology, data analysis, web design, graphic design, and customer service, focused on creating a positive user experience. You will learn how to apply user experience processes and methods to create a positive user experience across the enterprise.

- Publish content such as blog posts, intranet webpages, and Wiki articles.
- Create and design new, and reorganize existing intranet sites, wiki articles, and pages to make them more user-friendly and visually appealing.
- Write and configure user research surveys to help capture user input on various IT-related topics.
- Schedule, produce, record, and publish online UX training and create training videos.
- Design user research studies leveraging methods such as surveys, usability testing sessions, focus groups, and user interviews.
- Assist UX team with writing testing and interview scripts.
- Recruit and schedule participants for user research. Conduct research sessions and capture notes to analyze collected data.
- Create user research-finding reports and presentations. Share results with stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to review and organize content and make it easy to find and understand. A strong aptitude and interest in user research, data analysis, web design, and processes is required. A keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to data analysis and web editing, is required.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in UX, IT or a related degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be able to review, edit, and organize content and make it easy to find and understand.
- Comfort with IT, cybersecurity, applications, infrastructure, and mobile devices. Ability to research and learn how to use IT systems and tools quickly with minimal support.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Figma, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on a timeline following a schedule.
- Telecommuting is an option.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
You are a student in the User Experience, Design, IT, or Psychology field who wants to learn more about IT and the people side of technology. We are looking for someone who is a critical thinker and a self-starter. You maintain a positive attitude and are a team player who can work well with individuals from all levels of an organization. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against a deadline.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
