I've compiled a list of critical questions to ask as we approach International Women's Day (IWD) 2023. What questions resonate with you? What questions am I missing (I was limited to one page but could have written a book! :-)? Share your thoughts below and I will include them in a more comprehensive document in the future. (I've been inspired by and leveraged the insights of other posts, including those of Lauren Beckman and Sophie Walker. Thank you for your authentic voices on these critical issues).
These are challenging and insightful questions Christie, and many resonate deeply, especially the ones around glorifying women that do it all (without challenging why they have to) and the emotional and administrative labor and burden (without reward!) of not just organizing IWD but many or most efforts around connection, engagement and inclusion in organizations, communities and families.
Christie Hunter Arscott Such a fantastic, thought-provoking and timely list, Christie! Thank you for all you do advance gender equality every day.

1yThought of another one: Are you selecting the services of women-owned businesses (supplier diversity) for your events? For instance: Renting women-owned spaces; hiring women-owned catering, culinary, and bar/ beverage companies; utilizing women-owned event management, party rental, and decorating services; securing women-run AV services; using a woman photographer / videographer; inviting women journalists or bloggers to cover your event…. (And paying all for their services, sharing on your platforms, and writing reviews / testimonials for them where you can!)
