Here are our three biggest takeaways from running the World’s most exclusive facilitation “conference” that you can use to accelerate and transform your facilitation career 👇  1️⃣ As companies become increasingly complex, knowing some Agile, or some Design Thinking, or how to run Design Sprints will no longer be enough to succeed in facilitation. To thrive in the space, you’re going to need to know the principles of ALL OF THEM. And that’s what workshopping is. It’s all of these things under one umbrella term.  So, the first big takeaway? Don’t limit yourself to just one or two of these methodologies. If you do, you’ll miss out on some of the fundamental workshopping principles and collaboration you need to succeed. ⛱ 2️⃣ Facilitation and workshopping are still relatively new concepts to the mainstream, and it can sometimes feel like a lonely career choice. However, what we found at the retreat was the boost it gave our facilitation students to be among others who were equally as passionate about workshopping. They shared tips and advice, empathized with each other’s challenges, and celebrated each other’s successes.  So, the second big takeaway? Get involved in the workshopping community. We saw amazing results from simply bringing facilitators together. 🙌 🙌 3️⃣ People’s “money mindset” needs to change. We learnt on the retreat how frequently facilitators and workshoppers are undercharging for their valuable services. A shift in mindset is required–instead of worrying that discussing money or asking for more money is a bad thing, you need to remember that the client not only needs this work done but sees significant financial rewards from the facilitation. And we’re talking millions. 🤑  Thank you to everyone who joined us for this truly magical experience 🥰 #WorkshopperRetreat #facilitationskills #facilitation #designthinking
